Whale Watching Video
I was excited about the whales potentially sailing by, so I ran out to Aquatic Park and took some movies. I thought I saw some whales cresting out near the Coast Guard boat, but the movies don’t do it justice. In fact, I can’t see anything I saw with my naked eye. So try and see it. If it’s there, it’s in the center back near the black spec. Two red Coast Guard boats were patrolling around between Alcatraz & SF, and near the bridge some ships were being kept off the gate, then allowed through. As I was leaving, a MAERSK container ship was heading into the slot area- between Alcatraz & SF. Wondered if they let her through because the whales had already headed out? It’s so hard to see anything, and the wind was very strong- which just made it unpleasant to wait.
Enjoy. The most exciting thing is that some sea gulls go by.
