As for RI, I'm surprised you only overheard one accidental meeting between relatives - the entire state is related.
True story:  Just after college, saw a car for sale on the roadside, told my friend Sarah who was looking.  She went, bought it, and started sleeping with the guy she bought it from cause "he's so hot!"
And he was my 1st cousin once removed on my father's side.</description>
