Small Waves
I watched some small waves at Aquatic Park one Morning, April 2008. I took movies- instead of photos, or more, in addition to photos- because there’s the interplay of light and the sound of little curls of waves that you can only express in a moving picture. I could imagine these being frame somewhere in a movie picture frame. Kind of old-fashioned, thinking of movies as a slightly moving photo.
Bay Swells
I was really mesmerized one morning in April 08 by the subtle swells under a very glassy veneer. So I took a little one minute movie. The bells clanging are boats in Aquatic Park, and a foghorn at Alcatraz (though no fog that morning).
Cab Ride
Cab ride to Sugar, on Sutter. Basically from North Beach to Union Square, through the Stockton Tunnel. To the tunes of Wolf Parade’s “Shine a Light.” Enjoy!
A really happy ride home on a Friday afternoon- to Bright Eyes, “Falling In Love At This Volume.”
Bored at a cafe. Enjoy. Absolutely nothing happens.

Internet Movie Project: Lava Lounge (1998)
These are the salvaged video files from the WayBack Machine. I have the originals somewhere on a computer and I can resurrect them. Sure. Once I find the right power cord.
I’m not sure why it’s so grainy. Quicktime was different back then, and we had such limited bandwidth for streaming we had to really reduce the quality. Sad!
