There are also several spammers on Twitter with the terms “money” and “rich” in their usernames.

Another Twitter tool I like now is the Twitter bar, which is an add-on for Firefox – http://www.chrisfinke.com/addons/twitterbar/.

Baard- I use Zappos as a model for Twitter-as-a-business arm, mainly to respond to issues, communicate deals/offers, and be a general presence on the twitterstream as a company. Of course there are lots of places you can go with it. I also think it’s in the process of being formed. It does remind me a lot of the battles/strategies we encounter with email!

Thanks, Anna. I am trying to find out how to use twitter as a service. Of course we want to plug our products (I am working for a photo service), but I don’t want to serve spam in my feed. I try to publish things I find interesting, something personal and of course some tweets or twits about what we are doing. I recently dumped a lot of followers on our feed that wasn’t following me back. The follower / following ratio should be 1:1, as you write.
